How to Install Linux on a Chromebook

Are you excited to try out Linux on your Chromebook? With this step-by-step guide, you can easily install Linux on your device and start playing TwilioQuest like a pro!

First things first, make sure that your Chromebook has the option to download Linux (beta). If it does, you should see it in the settings bar. If not, unfortunately, this guide won't work for you.

Once you've confirmed that Linux is available on your Chromebook, follow these steps:

1. Open up the Google Play Store and search for 'Deb Installer'. Download and install it.

2. Once installed, open Deb Installer and select 'Install on Linux'.

3. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. This may take a few minutes.

4. After the installation is complete, navigate to your downloads folder (which we left open in step 1). Click on the tab, select 'Turn On', and then click 'Install'.

5. In your settings, you should see a tab for 'Linux Beta'. Navigate to this tab and click on it.

6. Once you're in the Linux Beta settings, navigate to the status area on the bottom right side of your screen and click on the settings icon.

7. This will open up the Linux settings menu. Click on the 'Show in Folder' option.

8. Go back to your downloads folder and select the Linux 'Debian/Ubuntu' version of TwilioQuest.

This installation was tested on a 2017 Samsung Chromebook with 4GB of RAM, 16GB SSD, and an Intel Atom Processor up to 2GHz. Please note that you may experience reduced performance when playing TwilioQuest on a Chromebook. However, this guide should work for most Chromebooks that meet the system requirements.
